The Attack on panhandler in Georgetown

A 40-year-old man attacked a beggar within the heart of Georgetown on Thursday afternoon, chasing him with a brick and touching him with a metal plant holder whereas yelling racial slurs, in keeping with D.C. police.

Authorities charged Richard W. Moore of no mounted address with assault with a dangerous weapon and creating threats. A police interpreter aforesaid the case is being investigated as a hate crime. The victim is black; Moore is white.
Moore’s lawyer couldn’t be reached for comment.

The incident occurred concerning 1:15 p.m. at Wisconsin Avenue and M Street point. A police report says Moore approached the victim as he weekday at the corner and used a racial slur whereas telling him to depart.
