Morocco beat Ivory Coast 2-0 in Abidjan for the last round of African qualifiers to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia.
The Moroccan team raised their lead to 12 points in Group C, leaving Côte d’Ivoire in second place with eight points. Morocco returned to the world for the fifth time in its history after a long absence. It had played in the years 1970, 1986, 1994 and 1998.

The quick rebounds created several chances to double the score, but the final touch prevented them from scoring.
The match ends with a victory of the Atlas lions against the elephants, Morocco to Russia and Ivory coast out.
